Welcome to Superior Surface Finishes. My name is Steve Prosser, and I offer a wet-blasting service aimed squarely at the vehicle restoration and hot-rodding market.
Wet bead blasting cleans parts to a surgically clean finish. In the case of aluminium parts, it removes the need for painting and returns parts to a "factory fresh" look with a long life, easy to clean surface. I complete the process on aluminium parts with a burnishing technique that provides a lasting, lustrous sheen that doesn't fingerprint or tarnish. The wet blasting process is also an excellent and inexpensive way of removing corrosion from cast iron parts such as engine blocks and headers, providing a spotlessly clean surface for you to paint over with your choice of engine or exhaust coatings. As we all know, preparation is an absolutely critical step in determining the standard of the finished product. So, whether you're building a state-of-the-art hot rod, restoring an exotic thoroughbred, or just giving the engine bay or your daily driver a freshen up, I can help. As I only charge for the time spent processing your part, you can have one part done at a time, or all at once. It makes no difference to the cost to you. My aim is to cater for both the experienced enthusiast who might want all their parts done at once, as well as the enthusiast who is tackling his project one step at a time. I can give a stunning finish to your manifolds, carbies, cylinder heads, brake calipers, engine blocks, suspension components, transmission casings, wheels, timing cases etc. The list is practically endless!
This is a service for enthusiasts, performed by an enthusiast. All parts are handled only by me, and are treated as if they are mine. I am based in Ipswich, Queensland. As this may not be geographically convenient for some people, I am more than happy to accept items forwarded to me by post or courier. It can actually be quite a bit cheaper to post or courier items to me (especially when you take travelling time into account!). If you prefer to pop in and deliver your items in person, then please phone or email to arrange an appointment.
